Six million Jewish civilians died during the Holocaust. One man, titled Oskar Schindler who was a Nazi Party Member, helped save one thousand and two hundred more Jewish people from being killed. He did this by opening a factory called Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik Oskar Schindler, which he did to gain wealth, not to save people. Overtime after realizing Jewish people were less expensive than the Polish workforce, he changed his mindset of gaining wealth, to saving Jews. Oskar Schindler is one of the many pieces of the big picture of what was being done and happening during the Holocaust. He obviously took a stand in History during World War II he continually risked his life to protect and save his Jewish workers. Nobody was hit at his factory, nobody murdered, nobody sent to death camps like the nearby Auschwitz. One thousand people were saved by a man who by the end was left penniless, dying a Hero in many people's eyes, in others, a traitor to the Nazi party. As you read through this website you will learn what he had to go through to do what he did. His life will appear before you. Thank you for reading.
